Our Leaders

All uniformed leaders are unpaid volunteers. The time they give has to fit in with their family and business life. They are all committed to providing a varied and exciting programme for the members which can be enhanced by the involvement of parents. Many parents probably have a skill that our leaders don’t which could benefit the boys, so if you are one of our parents and you think you could provide our boys with an interesting evening then please approach the appropriate leader.

All uniformed leaders are required, as a condition of their warrant, to undertake formal training to ensure that they are suitably qualified to supervise your son.  In addition, some of our leaders have specialist training in specific activities such as canoing, mountain walking, archery and shooting.

All activities are organised under a strict set of rules defined by Scout Headquarters in London. This is all done to provide a safe, caring environment in which your son can experience adventure first hand.
